What Patient Concierge contributes to Cardinal Health
Practice Operations Management oversees the business and administrative operations of a medical practice.
This person will be assisting with Cancer Registry submissions as well as other back office projects related to EMR tasks clean up, medical record sorting and filing, as well as other duties as assigned. Customer service skills and attention to detail are important to this role's success.This position requires someone who is bilingual in Spanish.
The ideal candidate will be available to work 1-8 hours per week, with flexibility on days of the week and hours per day needed. This is an as-needed position, which means there are no guaranteed hours. This is not a remote opportunity.
Responsibilities
Cancer Registry submission
Medical record sorting
Schedule and re-schedule appointments
Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls
Verify patient demographics and insurance information, updating patient records as needed
Work collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team onsite and over the phone
Use sound judgement and a professional demeanor when communicating with patients as well as other staff
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
1-3 years of experience, preferred
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
Prior experience working in a busy, fast-paced medical office setting highly preferred
Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks
Works on routine assignments that require basic problem resolution
Refers to policies and past practices for guidance
Receives general direction on standard work; receives detailed instruction on new assignments
Consults with supervisor or senior peers on complex and unusual problems
Anticipated hourly range:$23 per hour - $25.20 per hour
