Directs and coordinates activities of wholesaler’s distribution warehouse by performing the following duties.
This role must demonstrate urgency, commitment and responsiveness to capitalize on opportunities with other company stakeholders and ongoing process improvements. Direct management of facility personnel including shipping, receiving, staffing, safety lead and supervisor. A focus on managing perpetual inventory and customer order accuracy while engaging with other department stakeholders is key to supporting the company’s growth, customer satisfaction and ongoing profitability. The DCM must be an effective leader and a good communicator. Additionally, this position is responsible for compliance with state and federal regulations including Drug Enforcement Agency and State Board of Pharmacy.

Reviews daily volume of inbound and outbound orders in order to plan work activities. Assigns associate activity to specific duties throughout the course of the day. Actively works with employees throughout the day as necessary to ensure the daily work is completed
Looks for continuous improvements in both productivity and quality. Reports weekly and monthly distribution progress on performance goals, warehouse productivity, issues or concerns, and progress about on-going projects. Recommends new and improved policies, procedures and methods for operational improvements
Capitalize on opportunities with urgency, commitment and responsiveness while support the customer and company needs
Establishes, validates, and audits operational procedures and SOP’s of all warehouse departments to ensure compliance with warehouse practices
Coordinates activities of distribution warehouse with sales and compliance departments to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining efficiencies
Directs reclamation of damaged merchandise. Coordinate the removal of expired/short-dated products from saleable inventory on a monthly basis and return product to vendors for credit or refund as required. Maintain files of correspondence with and records of status for returned goods
Ensure that warehouse and equipment are well maintained and that housekeeping meets company, DEA, FDA and VAWD standards
Perform annual review of staff against goals and objectives. Promotes the growth and succession planning of staff
Maintain the controlled inventory in a secure manner in accordance with DEA and state regulations
Approve invoices for payment from authorized supply vendors
Primary contact for all building and property maintenance, opening/closing and alarm contact and other location related activities
Coordinate with internal management and trains employees to ensure that safety and security measures are in place
Maintain optimal levels of packaging and shipping materials for all warehouse activities and safety
Additional duties, responsibilities and special projects as may be assigned from time to time
Perform bi-annual reviews of the Supervisor’s performance against goals and objectives

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, during day shift hours.
Travel Travel for this position may be required. However, is limited in nature.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related degree or equivalent combination of education
Experience in pharmaceutical or related industry is preferred but not required
Working knowledge of DEA compliance regulations a plus
8+ years progressive warehouse experience including pick pack and/or production operations environment
Proven track record of maintaining accurate physical inventories of product
Experience or working knowledge in an RF warehouse environment
Good working knowledge of material handling flow and facility maintenance
Excellent Microsoft Office and Excel Skills
