What Administration contributes to Cardinal Health:
Business & Administrative Support is responsible for assisting general business operations by providing an array of administrative and data support activities. Administration is responsible for performing a variety of administrative activities in support of their assigned work team. May assist executives in budget preparation, record maintenance, and generating reports regarding operations, personnel changes, etc. Uses company software to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations. May design processes to enhance work flow. Serves as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues.
Office Assistant Responsibilities:
Provides general support to all functional departments Receives company visitors and arranges for escort services Operates telephone console to route incoming calls Schedules appointments and meetings, which include coordinating activities, services and attendance of participants Makes travel arrangements and assists in expense report preparation as required Operates a personal computer and printer to compose letters, memos, presentations, graphs and reports Maintains appropriate files of correspondence, documents, reports and records Assists all personnel on matters related to telephone and/or paging system, sends and distributes the company mail Assures the proper functioning and maintenance of the photocopiers and postal meter. Requests maintenance services for these equipments, whenever necessary Responsible of the vending machines replenishment coordination, and reimbursement to employees Maintains control of announcements, publications, and other information posted on bulletin boards Coordinates and organizes employee activities and events May perform other related duties in providing optimal plant manufacturing operations
MRO Services Responsibilities:
Expedite requisition forms for office supplies required P-Card reconciliation Responsible for the timely procurement of MRO supplies, contract agreements, and contract compliance implementation Maintain purchasing module database for the materials requisition orders (MRO) updated Identify, prioritize, evaluate, and pursue opportunities for sourcing and cost reduction in alignment with the strategic, operating, and financial objectives of Cardinal Health Ensure services received meet quality standards Review spending data for small business vendors, support and participate in small business outreach and align small business processes with corporate Ensures specific business enterprises have equal and fair access towards developing a business relationship within Cardinal Health
EH&S Responsibilities:
Serves as EHS contact for the facility Handles clerical EHS tasks (like keeping record retention and updating EHS communication boards) Provides EHS training to all new employees and contractors Ensures contractor training is completed for all contractors working on-site (In conjunction w/ Handyman and Pedro) Shares Safe Work Plans and inspections w/ EHS Advisor for final review and filing
Security Responsibilities:
Prepares and controls security badges for employees, visitors, and contractors Manages employee lockers. Assigns and controls locks and keys Provides security training to all new employees during onboarding process Provides security training to key employees on opening and closing the facility Receives, analyzes, and deploys EHS and security alerts and huddles

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge of personal computers and information systems
Proficient in keyboarding and good at spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication
Must be team oriented, approachable, flexible and strong interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Office Systems
Fully bilingual (Spanish and English)
Purchasing skills required
Education and/or experience:
BA Secretarial Sciences or any related field. At least two (2) years of secretarial experience (in a manufacturing environment, preferred)
Previous working experience with word processing and power point software
