A Mammography Technologist is a healthcare professional who performs breast imaging procedures, ensures high-quality diagnostic images, and provides patient care throughout the mammography process.
Responsibilities
Mammography skills
Perform advanced mammography procedures with a high level of accuracy and clinical expertise.
Assist in Stereotactic Breast and ensure proper processing of specimens and lab documentation.
Assist in Stereotactic localization procedures
Evaluate patient conditions and determine appropriate imaging approaches using critical thinking.
Review imaging orders, perform exams, and ensure adherence to IHS quality standards.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including patient identification and procedural time-outs.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences required.
Current ARRT, CRT, and CPR certifications are required.
Advanced mammography training.
Ability to train, mentor, and support team members.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Commitment to patient-centered care and professional excellence.
Anticipated hourly range: $37.00 per hour - $61.25 per hour
