What Production Set-up & Maint contributes to Cardinal Health
Sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SeniorMaintenance Technician to support our medical device facility and production manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and maintaining compliance with FDA, ISO, and DEP standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance and corrective action items on manufacturing machinery, facility systems, and equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and process piping to identify root causes to propose and implement effective solutions.
Complete repairs according to codes, standards, and best practices.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records in Cardinal Health?s CMMS system. Verify, add, revise and update preventative maintenance procedures when required.
Install, test and support new machinery and equipment installations and existing equipment upgrades.
Support Plant Production, Quality and Engineering departments with new product trials, testing and validations per regulatory requirements. (IQ/OQ/PQ).
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production personnel to ensure equipment compliance and readiness.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, FDA, and ISO 13485 standards.
Assist and maintain spare parts inventories of critical parts, tools and materials.
Ability to work independently and to assist, mentor, and train other maintenance personnel.
Ability to coordinate, schedule and direct activities and tasks for external contractors, trade personnel and third-party vendors when needed.
Skilled and proficient using machining equipment (i.e., Lathes, band saws, drill presses, benders, etc.)
Experience and knowledgeable using measuring and testing equipment, (i.e. multi-meters, calipers, gauges, and instrumentation to measure flow, temperature, pressure, etc.
Ability to read, interpret and build/assemble equipment from technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Other maintenance and machine related duties and tasks as assigned.
Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Availability for on call rotation and weekend coverage rotation.
Qualifications:
5-10 years in a maintenance role within a regulated manufacturing environment preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge, experience and troubleshooting skills preferred
Ability to troubleshoot various complex machinery and equipment, including but not limited to, motors, drives, chains, belts, pumps, valves, etc. preferred
Able to use multi-meter for voltage, amperage, and continuity testing preferred
Familiar with NFPA, NEMA, ASTM, ASME and environmental codes and regulations preferred
Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks
Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility
maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgement in resolving issues
May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments
Adheres to all quality guidelines
Works with limited supervision. Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor
May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
Anticipated hourly range:$24.10 per hour - $36.01 per hour
