Location/Shift This role will be an on-site position (5 days per week), based out of the Consumer Health Logistics Center.
This position will initially work traditional hours Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm and will be subject to change based on operational need.
What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.
Job Summary
The Analyst, Inventory Management plays an integral role in service and inventory optimization across Cardinal Health?s distribution network. This job is responsible for meeting desired inventory levels, vendor management activities and the handling of backorders and other supply related activities. The Analyst, Inventory Management is also responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service through the management of forecasts, procurement activity, customer demand and inventory levels. This job provides support to supply chain specific projects and initiatives to drive process improvement. The Analyst, Inventory Management develops strong relationship with suppliers to aid in the resolution of major operational issues.
About the Consumer Health Logistics Center
The Consumer Health Logistics Center (CHLC) will be Cardinal Health?s newest Pharmaceutical Supply Chain operation in Groveport, Ohio. This facility, featuring some of the latest innovations in automation technology, is approximately 300,000 square feet and picks, packs, and ships approximately $250 million in consumer products each month. The CHLC is a state-of-the-art hub facility that is responsible for providing consumer health products to the entire Cardinal Health network of forward distribution centers. By aggregating demand to a single ship-to location, the CHLC adds value to both manufacturing partners and the Forwarding Distribution Centers (FDCs) through economies of scale. This aggregation allows for a reduction of pick, pack, and ship cycle times, fewer damages, increased on-time rate, and a more efficient deployment of network inventory.
Responsibilities
Responsible for velocity resets across all warehouse zones in alignment with DC strategies
Responsible for maintaining profiling in all specialty zones, including compliance verification
Execute inventory cycle counts as necessary
Collaboration across departments
Complete all scheduled profiling dashboards
Research and analysis of product velocity, location size and warehouse attributes
OWI research
Cycle count adjustment research
Corporate collaboration for item discrepancy issues
Work with corporate Inventory Management, Operations, Sales, Transportation and customers
Responsible for the out date pull process
Assist in new customer onboarding and Inventory planning
Qualifications
2+ years of experience, preferred
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred
Good verbal and written communication skills
Customer Service experience preferred
