What Inventory Control contributes to Cardinal Health
Inventory control performs a variety of defined tasks and procedures aimed to ensure the effective preservation and integrity of all inventory on hand to minimize lose and maximize accuracy of inventory.
Responsibilities
Perform Cycle counts as well as research and reconciliation of cycle counts
Respond to email inquiries and requests
Process recalls, over ships, damages, short dated and expired
Assist associates on the warehouse floor with any questions related to inventory control
May assist sporadically with returns processing (receiving and put away)
Drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility may include order picker (cherry picker), forklift, stand up reach truck, turret truck, electric pallet jack, and walkie rider
Chase tasks for order completion
Sort, categorize and process various types of waste materials to ensure proper recycling, disposal, or treatment.
Safely handling, managing, and processing of hazardous materials in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Role involves sorting, labeling, and storing hazardous substances, operating waste processing equipment, and ensuring proper disposal methods.
Maintain records, monitor environmental safety, and participate in regular safety training to minimize environmental impact and ensure workplace safety.
Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Strong knowledge of hazardous materials, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines
End user beginner level + proficiency to work with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to stand and walk the duration of entire shift
Experience operating Power Industrial Trucks (sit down forklift, order selector (cherry picker), stand up reach, electric pallet jack and clamp forklift) preferred
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working with heights 20-30 feet while harnessed to an order selector (cherry picker)
Able to squat, bend, reach above and below waist level using both arms, able to kneel, able to grasp with fingers and use step ladders and stairs
Able to maintain concentration on tasks at hand while working in medium to high levels of noise coming from equipment and warehouse environment in general
Willing to work in any other tasks in the warehouse
Able to work well under pressure of deadlines to accomplish tasks
Able to work in stressful situations and maintain calm and composure
Be self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
Track record of being detail oriented and focused on total quality of work/process
Demonstrate effective people skills and ability to deal with conflict successfully
Have a track record of being accessible to others and ready to help
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills preferred
Be able to communicate effectively with associates and different levels of leadership and management
Knowledge of product from the At Home site in Ontario, California (Vendors, Unit of measure, Prefixes) preferred
Experience working in Manhattan Associates WMS environment preferred
3+ years experience in inventory control in a WMS environment preferred
2 + years experience with Manhattan Associates WMS and RF scanner fast paced distribution center environment preferred
