D-Trans is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Quality Specialist to lead and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) in line with GDP (Good Distribution Practices), FMCSA regulations, and internal SOPs. This role is pivotal to ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across our logistics operations—particularly in the high-value and pharmaceutical logistics sectors. The Quality Specialist will oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of the company’s QMS, manage audits, ensure SOP compliance, conduct root cause analysis, lead training programs, and drive quality improvement initiatives through cross-functional collaboration. Strong knowledge of GDP, FMCSA, and transportation regulations is essential, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Core Responsibilities
Oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of the company’s Quality Management System.
Ensure all SOPs (especially SOP002 V001) are accurate, updated, and effectively implemented across departments.
Lead internal audits and manage third-party audit readiness.
Maintain document control and change management processes.
Ensure company compliance with GDP, FMCSA, DOT, and industry standards.
Work closely with operations and dispatch teams to monitor adherence to SOPs, including driver conduct, handling, and documentation of high-value shipments.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
Implement a training program based on current SOPs and GDP standards.
Provide onboarding and annual refresher training to staff across departments.
Track training compliance and effectiveness and maintain accurate records.
Identify quality improvement opportunities through data analysis, audits, and incident reviews.
Collaborate cross-functionally to recommend and implement process enhancements.
Monitor KPIs related to compliance, safety, and quality.
Lead investigations for SOP deviations, product excursions, or safety incidents.
Manage risk assessments and mitigation plans, particularly for temperature-sensitive and high-value freight.
Maintain logs and reports of non-conformities and quality incidents.
In-depth knowledge of GDP, FMCSA, and related transportation regulations
Strong skills in audit preparation, training, and regulatory documentation
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Must attend two industry conferences per year to remain current with evolving regulations and best practices.
