Business & Administrative Support is responsible for assisting general business operations by providing an array of administrative and data support activities.

The Medical Administration and Data job family supports the effective operation of a healthcare organization by managing administrative tasks, patient data, and medical records. This job family ensures the flow of information, maintaining patient confidentiality and supports clinical staff.

The Patient Concierge Lead is responsible for hiring and managing patient concierge associates at Fairbanks Urology. They will ensure all staff members receive training, support and development to achieve company and professional goals as well as manage patient satisfaction. This position is responsible for greeting patients, confirming demographic and insurance information, answering phones, provider scheduling, as well as other duties as assigned. Customer service skills and attention to detail are important to this role's success.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for hiring and managing patient concierge associates at Fairbanks Urology. Ensure all staff members receive training, support and development to achieve company and professional goals.
• Maintains staff by orienting, and training employees using the New Team Member Checklist. 
• Maintains staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Greet patients and families.
• Answer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer files.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments.
• Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Obtain insurance verifications (VOB), pre-authorizations and pre-determinations.
• Process requests for records from outside sources.
• Scan data into document imaging software.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Perform any other functions as required by management.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience, preferred
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting a plus
