What Production Operation contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.
Production Operation operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and automation equipment. May set up machining machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Job Summary
The Operator II, Production Operations is an entry level position at the facility responsible for the manual operational tasks within the production facility. The job is responsible for escalating major production issues and resolving minor issues as applicable. This job performs work under close supervision by the Supervisor, Manufacturing Management.

Shift Details: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Must be willing to train on a 3rd Shift basis, Sunday-Thursday, 11pm-7am)
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience in related field preferred
1+ year experience in related field preferred
Understanding of FDA regulations surrounding the manufacturing of medical devices and GMPs preferred
Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools preferred
Responsibilities
Operate machines safely - identify emergency stops and stop the process when safety issues are identified, report safety concerns
Perform quality inspections in accordance with established procedures - visually inspect in-process/finished material, stop the process when quality issues are identified, participate in root cause failure investigations, complete various forms
Responsible for correct recording of traceability information, production information, cleaning documentation, and safety check documentation
Complete line clearance activities, 6S activities, basic maintenance activities, and routine cleaning of production equipment to maintain the environment within established standards
Comply with statutory responsibility under the national/federal regulations - take reasonable care of your own health, safety and welfare along with teammates that may be affected by your acts at work
Follow established EH&S procedures and policies and encourage teammates to follow them
Participate in EH&S activities such as: root cause analysis, finding solutions, implementing improvements, inspections, and meetings
Complete and remain up to date on required EH&S training
Follow all ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA and plant/corporate standards, policies, and procedures
Observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed
Report all safety incidents, hazards, and potential unsafe working conditions
Work overtime as required
