This position reports to the EVP, Strategic Sourcing and Manufacturer Services
Function: Strategic Sourcing - Strategic Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation.
Family: Strategic Sourcing Indirect -- Strategic Sourcing Indirect is responsible for developing and executing strategy to source indirect goods and services to support our business stakeholders and programs. Perform analysis in order to select supplier and negotiate best value for Cardinal Health. Provide supplier relationship management and contract compliance management, including maximization of financial deliverables and risk mitigation. May work within various procurement systems to execute purchase orders and resolve technical issues as identified. This leader is ultimately responsible for enterprise sourcing tool, supplier setup and maintenance, Data Center of Excellence, EDI compliance and supplier performance management. This includes driving supplier segmentation, process creation and improvement, reporting strategy and execution and supplier dispute resolution. This position will also continue to standardize and optimize the supplier agreements and drive compliance within the supplier portfolio to ensure Cardinal Health efficiencies, supplier economics and cost reduction goals are met. The leader also has responsibility for the supplier set up and maintenance process for all direct pharma and medical suppliers and leads key initiatives for cross functional activities that impact accounts payable, chargeback's, and contract management. They are also responsible for integrating supplier master data and Indirect Procurement of key acquisitions.
Utilize the 7-step sourcing process to source the most appropriate vendor to meet Cardinal Health requirements including diverse vendors where opportunities exist.
Perform data analysis and utilize financial acumen to identify opportunities to leverage scale and drive cost savings.
Develop expertise in core categories including product knowledge, industry dynamics and market trends.
Establish collaborative environment with key suppliers and business partners to manage supplier performance and support long term strategy.
Develop expertise with contract requirements in order to negotiate the most favorable pricing, contract terms and conditions for Cardinal Health.
Strong project and process management in order to execute sourcing strategy with cross functional teams.

Qualifications
8-12 years of related experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related degree preferred
Knowledge of international regulatory requirements related to procurement of assets (leased or purchased), employee benefits (insurances), regulatory compliance involving management of customers' travel & expenses

Knowledge and practical experience in the healthcare industry related to medical products and procedures
Training or practical experience in professional education/training and a proven track record of developing programs and collaborating with others to reach mutual outcomes

Anticipated salary range: $165,800 - $295,800 base
