What Finance Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
This position is responsible for the creative mitigation of customer pricing discrepancies. This role will utilizing pre-built dashboards, innovative thinking, and a variety of reporting tools to help solve customer pricing issues before they happen. This role will be the project lead in addition to two senior analysts on the pricing support pod of Pharma Contracts.
This position can be hybrid or remote.
Responsibilities:
Helps direct team members to solve complex pricing inquiries and projects. The goal of this is around being proactive rather than reactive
Translates current performance indicators into specific actions that improve the customer experience while supporting Cardinal Health objectives
Develop strong supplier relationships to drive effectiveness and value against the planned strategies; facilitate supplier reviews; generate continuous improvement ideas.
Partners with finance ops teams to identify root cause and ensure a pricing dispute in that realm is systematically eliminated.
Follows all process gaps to the finish line to validate the correct training has been implemented and all team members are engaged on how a discrepancy occurred.
Helps review any FTPA findings to determine scope and accountability
Use in house tools to make sure customers and items are being extended/expired/changed before customer is notified
Operational capability and rigor to enable smarter engagement and enhanced connectivity across finance operations teams, key stakeholders, and leaders across the company
Establishes solid relationships with business leaders and subject matter experts to proactively identify performance gaps, recommend solutions, influence decision making, build and implement strategies that drive outcomes
Responsible for supplier contract administration, as well as administering and reviewing membership initiatives as deemed appropriate. This includes researching and problem-solving customer pricing issues and acting as a liaison with internal and external key stakeholders.
Track record of achieving results and the ability to clearly identify and communicate a vision and strategy
Qualifications
4-8 years of experience (preferred)
BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field. Advance Degree may be required (preferred)

Is responsible for the development of policies and procedures around how an incorrect price can be impacted before the customers sees it
Leverage descriptive and predictive analytics capabilities to deploy best solutions for use cases identified
Identifies themes and addresses those with suppliers or GPOs to help drive behavior
Access and aggregate large, raw membership files from multiple internal/external sources and transform into meaningful analyses, actionable insights, and practical information for decision-making.
Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
Completes work; independently receives general guidance on new projects
