What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Application Development & Maintenance is responsible for technical configuration, design, functional integration, development oversight, implementation, and support of applications at Cardinal Health.
Cardinal Health is embarking on a multi-year strategy to expand our U.S. warehouse capacity and modernize our Pharma distribution footprint. With our customers at the forefront of this strategy, we will be able to provide expanded inventory capacity and a more streamlined and safe operations.
The Pharmaceutical Warehouse Solutions IT team is responsible for providing, supporting, and enhancing IT solutions for Cardinal Health's Pharmaceutical distribution centers and is growing to support enterprise warehouse management implementations. Supported solutions include large, complex, leading-edge warehouse management systems, labor planning products, robotic and automation integrations, analytics, and more.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading all technical and functional aspects of large-scale program implementations in a matrixed environment.
Ability to provide technical oversight specific to custom products, package software, and SaaS applications.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team that consists of onshore/offshore resources, including both contractors and FTE's.
Exploration of Manhattan Active (SaaS) solution, specifically focused on developing and enabling our team for ProActive client-lead application development .
Consult on Product Centric and Agile best practices.
Partner with Enterprise Architecture and IT Leadership on selecting the appropriate solution components that align with company standards while also meeting the requirements of the program.
Provide technical recommendations on warehouse management build/sustain initiatives.
Brings wealth of knowledge to providing guidance on infrastructure, cloud maintenance, software development best practices, DevSecOps, testing automation, etc.
Design solutions related to warehouse automation and warehouse management systems.
Participate in root cause analysis sessions with support teams.
Working knowledge of ERP & Distribution/Warehouse processes and accounting concepts is preferred.
Strong Pharmaceutical supply chain knowledge.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Advanced Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
10+ years' experience in related field preferred.
Expert knowledge on various technology domains and end-to-end application architectures preferred.
Experience with latest Manhattan product and technologies (WMOS 2019, Active WM, ProActive)preferred
Experience with Java or .NET application framework and coding standards preferred.
Direct experience in implementing large, technically complex solutions.
Experience Designing and developing APIs, and services with a microservices architecture preferred.
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React and Ember.
Experience with multiple development languages including C, C++,Java, Kotlin, .NET, REST/SOAP APIs, microservices is preferred.
Experience with SaaS and packaged software solutions.
Experience with architecture design and deployment using cloud platforms, Google Cloud (preferred), AWS and familiarity with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS concepts preferred
Experience in integration architecture and patterns, including integration via APIs and services is preferred
Experience with Warehouse Automation solutions is a plus.
Experience with Android app development is a plus.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
