What Commercial Technologies Software Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health

Commercial Technologies manages the enterprise's portfolio of commercial technologies to maximize the business value of the technologies and enhance the customer experience. This function creates strategies for the portfolio and innovative solutions based on relationships with business leaders, develops back-end solutions and capabilities, and improves the front-end experience.

Commercial Technologies Software Engineering develops design options, process improvements and back-end solutions for commercial technologies to maximize performance and suitability for business needs. This job family manages engineering projects and plans for commercial technologies and interfaces with product managers to develop objectives. This job family assesses product systems, identifies opportunities for process and system improvements, and develops solutions through application of engineering principles.

Summary:

This role is for an engineer focused on web application product quality through testing and automation of test cases.  The role is inside an empowered, creative, and highly agile new product development team.  This work does include some manual testing activities, but with a focus on overall product quality assurance through automation.

The right person for this role will possess strong software engineering skills combined with an obsession with software quality.    

Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, and use HTML/CSS to target web elements
• Proficiency with modern testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, QA Wolf, etc...)
• Experience creating functional tests using a functional testing tool
• Experience creating integration tests
• Identify areas of pain (i.e. inefficiency - long running processes) and collaborate with a team to invent and implement solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in CS/IT/IS or equivalent work experience preferred
• 3+ years' experience in software development, preferably in a quality-focused role
• Experience in health or healthcare related field desirable
• Full-time remote position possible for the right candidate
• Light travel:  3-5 times a year

Anticipated salary range: $88,500 - $132,70
