The Senior Manager, HR Technology serves as a functional expert resource to Human Resources & HR Technology analysts with oversight responsibility for driving enhanced performance and functionality of HRIS technology, ensuring the setup and configuration of all HRIS-related data, complex reporting, integration point development, as well as the integrity of team member information. In addition, this role supports the business ensuring that the end-to-end process solution meets business, global and strategic requirements. In addition, the Senior Manager is responsible for managing a team of HRIS analysts/coordinators.
Manage, develop, and provide direction to assigned staff (including remote management)
Provide recommendations on HR technology strategies and ensuing tactics. Stays up to date on new HR technology and complimentary solutions to support the business. Maintain a global mindset when providing solutions with a focus on a positive team member experience.
Collaborates with the COEs to ensure that HR systems support new processes/changes to provide the optimal team member experience
Oversee system administration for HR technology, which may include Workday, Payroll, Benefits, Time Keeping, LMS, and HR Portal technology (telephony, case management, knowledge management) and Third-Party Systems including making recommendations on improving system performance and functionality
Leads system integrations or system enhancement projects
Partners with Stakeholders which may include HR, Finance, Audit Benefits, Legal, Payroll, team members, and vendors to determine strategic needs, defines functional/technical specifications, troubleshoot issues, and implement initiatives
Utilizes complex reporting tools to develop, document and monitor cross-process data integration points in future-state business process designs, facilitate resolution of misalignment across process areas
Supports teams in identification, analysis and implementation planning of optimizing design, cleansing legacy data, and prioritizing conversion of integrated data
Operates as the key liaison with the IT, Accounting/Finance, Internal/External Auditors for SOX and Government compliance issues and company policies
Develops and manages the audit process for team member information; work directly with the HR, Benefits, Payroll, Accounting/Finance, IT management teams to provide data integrity, consistency, and reliability throughout the organization
Develops recommendations for process improvements related to data utilization and maintenance
Manages testing, creates and reviews specifications, reviews/manages the creation of test scenarios, and oversees testing of the system
Manages deployment and testing of system patches/new releases and enhancements
Provides system/project updates to stakeholders
Provide and maintain team member training material
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining team member master data standards and appropriate legal compliance and company policy
Guides Tier 2 Specialists to resolve complex technical issues raised by team members and managers
Maintains and develops a strong working relationship with business owners/COEs as a process advocate
Maintains appropriate issue/project/enhancement tracking and manages issue resolution process. Supports the development of specific actions and recommendations to mitigate risk and resolve outstanding issues
Creates, maintains, and delivers status reporting for related project activities to key stakeholders
Requires some training in fields such as business administration, computer science, information technology, human resources or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education
Requires 10 years directly related HR Technology experience
Workday experience required
Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems (Payroll, Benefits, Time)
Strong leadership skills including the ability to manage remote and global team members
Requires a minimum of five (5) years related and progressively responsible experience in the healthcare and/or distribution business
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
High-level understanding of HR business functions/end-to end processes, strategic imperatives, and project management
Demonstrated consultative skills and ability to effectively facilitate groups to consensus
Ability to create trust and confidence quickly
Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using leading-edge technology
