As part of Cybersecurity Engineering, this role will plan, design, execute, and manage multi-faceted projects related to data security. Focused will be on driving security strategies, policies/standards, ensuring the effectiveness of technological solutions, and providing security-focused consultative services to the organization.
- Protects sensitive data using encryption, data masking and data loss prevention solutions to protect data-at-rest, data-in-motion, and data-in-use.
- Builds and maintains Encryption and Key Management enterprise solution.
- Works with application owners, engineers, and developers to deploy cryptographic solutions.
- Works with business partners and security architects to identify and remediate risks and secure sensitive data.
- Secures data hosted in on-prem and in cloud services including Azure, Office 365 and Salesforce.
- Collaborates with various teams such as enterprise and security architecture, IT support, implement encryption solutions as well as implement data encryption.
- Manages and operates encryption and hardware secure module solutions to maintain service level agreements.
- Analyzes reports and makes recommendations as needed for management decisions.
- Develops processes and procedures including engineering documentation, risk remediation plans, operational runbooks.
- Reviews risk assessments, analyzes the effectiveness of information security control activities, and reports on them with actionable recommendations.
- Monitors and analyzes health and effectiveness of security solutions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.Typically requires 5-7 years of IT work experience.
Certification: Requires security certification (i.e., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) or equivalent.Requires in-depth knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across all existing computer platforms.
- Experience in encryption solution such as Gemalto, Thales and Azure Key Vault
- Experience in Data Loss Prevention solution.
- Good understanding of Data Masking.
- Experience leading security team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of various diverse scope in a cross-functional environment.
